Role Summary
We are currently searching for a Claims Adjuster - Professional Indemnity, on behalf for a highly regarded Lloyd’s / London Market insurer.
The successful candidate will investigate and maintain claims within Professional Indemnity, working within authority on assignments of moderate, technical complexity.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpreting policy coverages and determining if coverages apply to claims submitted, escalating issues as needed.
- Setting activities, reserves and authorising payment within scope of authority, settling claims in most cost effective and timely manner.
- Participating in performing investigations and evaluating claims through contact with insureds, claimants, witnesses and experts.
- Identifying and escalating serious claim developments to management efficiently and effectively.
- Partnering with legal counsel, account representatives, brokers, underwriters and insureds to develop a focused strategy for timely and cost effective resolution of claims.
- Developing and maintaining strong broker relationships.
- Participating in planning strategy and negotiating within scope of authority.
Key Requirements
- Prior experience of managing Professional Indemnity Claims.
- Knowledge of claims and insurance industry theory and practices.
- Developing technical expertise, product specific knowledge and negotiation skills.
- Ability to negotiate and settle claims effectively.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with good time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
