Working alongside the wider claims team, the successful candidate will provide effective governance and oversight of the London Market Claims risk and control landscape, exploring key business processes and wider insurance market practices linked to running and enhancing a well-governed, customer centric claims operating model.
This is an exciting opportunity that will place the candidate in a leading position within the Lloyd’s Market. It is a 12 month, fixed term contract role.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing a robust Governance, Risk and Compliance framework, in conjunction with the Head of Claims and the Head of Governance & Standards.
- Coordinating risk analysis, control design and operational risk reporting.
- Implementing effective claims handling systems to ensure compliance with mandated (legal and regulatory) and voluntary (internal policies and procedures) principles and standards.
- Coordinating the review and updating of existing / new policies and procedures.
- Liaising with stakeholders to facilitate internal and external audits, in addition to addressing key findings and recommendations.
- Conducting compliance audits and reporting to claims management - facilitating remediation of findings where appropriate.
- Ensuring the claims function adheres to regulatory reporting guidelines and filing deadlines.
- Interacting with key stakeholders on claims governance related matters, with a particular emphasis on Claims, Underwriting and Actuarial team alignment.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience within a similar role in the Lloyd's London Market.
- Experience of working across multiple internal and external teams, including third party suppliers.
- Ability to analyse complex issues in a commercial, solution oriented manner.
- Ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of an organisation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
