We are currently recruiting for a Professional Indemnity Claims Handler on behalf of our client, a highly regarded London Market insurer with an excellent reputation and good opportunities for progression.
The successful candidate will focus on delivering effective and efficient claims adjusting across Financial Lines classes of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling a portfolio primarily made up of UK Professional Indemnity claims within authority limits.
- Maintaining accurate claims records, managing claim systems, and supporting credit control with Underwriting / Accounts.
- Investigating and settling standard claims, including coverage evaluation and determining appropriate reserving levels.
- Directing external service providers (e.g. Loss Adjusters) and assisting with audits or new business claims procedures.
- Proactively reviewing and reporting on loss trends, preparing management reports, and referring cases beyond authority with proper documentation.
- Collaborating with Underwriting, Market Management, and Operations teams.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Key Requirements
- At least 1-2 years experience of handling Professional Indemnity Claims.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical skills.
