We are currently recruiting for an Operations Technician on behalf of our client, a dynamic Lloyd's Syndicate with a growing reputation in the market.
A primarily bordereaux focused role, this is a fantastic opportunity that will allow the successful candidate to gain exposure to all functions within the business, whilst working with a range of different individuals, including Underwriters and Directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing complex warnings and failed validations emanating from bordereaux processing.
- SME for Binder Management Software.
- Ensuring the uninterrupted and efficient functioning of bordereaux processing.
- Optimising system configuration or operational processes, and collaborating with various teams to enhance the overall performance and usability of internal systems.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency in the underwriting processing.
- Resolving complex risk capture queries emanating from outsourced providers and internal stakeholders.
- Undertaking data quality sampling and compiling results / reporting for management.
- Contributing to operational initiatives and projects.
- Working closely with the Underwriting and Claims teams to facilitate the seamless flow of operations and support cross-functional collaboration.
Key Requirements
- Candidates must have at least 2 years experience working with bordereaux within insurance, ideally in an Underwriting Operations Analyst / Technician type role.
- Experience of the following is preferred, but not essential: bordereaux processing in Binder Management Software; knowledge of resolving post-placement operational queries, including risk capture and bordereaux; knowledge of Policy Administration Systems (Sequel Eclipse preferred) and experience of User Acceptance Testing.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience with Adobe Standard and MS Office (Word, Advanced Outlook & Excel).
