We are currently recruiting for a Reinsurance Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a very highly regarded and well-known Lloyd’s Syndicate and (re)insurer.
The successful candidate will proactively handle and adjust a portfolio of Reinsurance claims from initial notification through to settlement, providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers at all times.
This is a 12 month, fixed term contract role.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively adjusting standard and complex Reinsurance claims, developing a thorough understanding of Treaty Reinsurance (Cross Class) in the process.
- Monitoring circumstances that may turn into claims, whether in relation to individual risks or global events, such as major catastrophes or significant losses of interest.
- Effectively driving claims through to resolution.
- Communicating proactively with internal and external stakeholders, both in writing and verbally, ensuring excellent customer service to cedants, brokers, follow market, underwriters, actuaries, and senior management.
- Identifying cedant audits and reporting back to the Reinsurance Claims Manager.
- Flagging any issues of concern/trends to the Claims Manager and Head of Reinsurance.
Key Requirements
- Experience of handling Reinsurance Claims within the London Market, including knowledge of handling Treaty Property, Treaty Marine or Treaty Casualty claims in the global Reinsurance market.
- Strong client management skills, with experience of building solid client relationships.
- Ability to manage complex issues and problems, and escalate as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
