Senior Claims Adjuster - Casualty (6 month FTC) - London

Role Summary

We are currently searching for a Senior Claims Adjuster - Casualty 6 month FTC, on behalf of a well respected Lloyd's Market Insurer.

 The successful candidate will work handle a varied claims portfolio focussing on Casualty classes of business, including International (mainly US) Liability, Professional Liability, D&O and Financial Lines.

Key Responsibilities 

• Proactively handling lead and agreement party claims from first advice to settlement.
• Fostering good relationships with policyholders, brokers, underwriters and reinsurers, and driving excellent customer service.
• Ensuring that there is prompt and accurate reserving, identifying and pursuing relevant third party recoveries and salvage opportunities.
• Actively participating in client and market meetings.
• Identifying and escalating claims related issues where necessary.
• Providing case specific direction, mentoring and developing team member(s).

Key Requirements 

• Previous experience of insurance products as either a claims handler / broker, with a focus on Casualty claims.
• Strong understanding of Casualty policy wordings.
• Sound computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and use of ECF / DocoSoft is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills, including ability to credibly engage with clients, third parties or internal stakeholders.
• Ability to lead or actively participate in market meetings and settlement negotiations.
• Legal, Dip or CII qualification preferred.
