Senior Claims Adjuster - UK Property & Casualty (Personal Lines) - London

Key Responsibilities

• Providing technical claims handling on mainly UK Property and Casualty within agreed authority levels.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with MGA and TPAs.
• Working closely with key stakeholders in the business, including the Underwriters and Actuaries in evaluating the business from the perspective of reserving and pricing.
• Pro-actively managing claims, setting appropriate reserves in line with reserving philosophy, as well as authorising payments within scope of authority.
• Utilising negotiation skills to develop complex settlement packages.
• Analysing claims activities, preparing and presenting reports for management.

Key Requirements

• Significant proven claims adjusting experience in UK domestic Property Claims.
• Experience in UK personal lines: Casualty, Pet, Motor is desirable.
• Working knowledge of relevant (re)insurance market systems (e.g. ECF / CLASS or equivalent).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present confidently.
• Experience of driving performance, audit and TPA oversight.
• Confident dealing with MGA / TPA claims managers
