We are currently recruiting for a Senior Claims Handler on behalf of our client, a leading legal and claims management company with an excellent reputation in the market.
The purpose of the role is to manage a portfolio of Professional Indemnity claims from first advice to settlement, including investigation, negotiation and/or conduct of defence. You will also assist with development of the Claims Management and TPA role within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigating and controlling tactics for dealing with and progressing claims towards resolution.
- Understanding the SLAs and KPIs of the department and various TPAs, ensuring adherence to these standards.
- Providing support and advice to Claims Handlers and Assistants as needed.
- Undertaking reviews of policy coverage.
- Taking a proactive approach to investigation, ADR and negotiation to avoid unnecessary litigation.
- Instructing and liaising with Panel Solicitors as needed.
- Providing excellent service at all times, helping the company develop a market leading TPA claims function.
- Taking responsibility for the quality and integrity of the MI.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience of handling Professional Indemnity claims, with technical claims / product knowledge and a proven track record of delivering results.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
