Working for a highly regarded Lloyd’s / London Market insurer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of highly complex UK Casualty Claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing and managing investigations of complex claims, liability and damages.
- Monitoring and predicting claims development trends and planning for consequences.
- Contributing to business planning and supporting the UW strategy.
- Partnering with Solicitors, Customers, Brokers, Experts and Insureds to develop a focussed strategy.
- Making recommendations of claim policy and procedures, driving claims initiatives.
- Managing the negotiation of claims settlement packages including setting reserves and authorising payment.
Key Requirements
- Advanced technical and product specific expertise, claims resolution skills and knowledge of insurance and claims principles, practices and procedures.
- Ability to deliver claims proposition confidently.
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
