We are proud to exclusively partner with an exciting, growing and dynamic motor insurer to recruit an Underwriting & Claims Assurance Technician.
The key purpose of the role is to deliver the control structures and frameworks that guide all of the company’s Underwriting and Claims activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring internal Underwriting, Claims and Operations processes / initiatives.
- Underwriting and Claims Quality Control - results analysis and reporting.
- Data integrity - test the accuracy, completeness and consistency of data used in the company’s strategies, including non-conventional and delegated authority arrangements.
- Providing clear reporting on issues identified and evidence to support actions proposed.
- Assisting in ensuring that initiative change for Underwriting and Claims delivers the targeted benefit.
- Being aware of the introduction of new suppliers / delegated authorities, as well as participating in due diligence and related set-up activity.
- Completing the annual Audit Plan, covering Supplier and Delegated Authority audits.
- Maintaining the provisions of the company’s internal underwriting and claims authority frameworks.
- Understanding the risk environment in which the company operates, identifying and managing the keys risks which threaten the success and sustainability of the business.
Key Requirements
- Must have previous experience in a Claims or Underwriting role, or have previously worked in an internal audit role within the insurance / financial services sector.
- Strong data and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
